Cho-Seal 6371 is a UL94V0-rated flame-retardant elastomer that can be either compression or injection moulded.

Cho-Seal 6371 is a UL94V0-rated flame-retardant elastomer that can be either compression or injection moulded.

The material provides a combination of EMI shielding and environmental sealing in a broad range of applications that includes servers, basestations and communications switching equipment.

Due to its processing versatility, parts can be manufactured in almost any shape using Cho-Seal 6371.

Finished forms include O-rings, custom moulded shapes, die-cut gaskets and sheets.

It is also possible to overmould the material onto plastic or metal components to provide one piece shielded housings.

Cho-Seal 6371 consists of a silicone elastomer with a conductive nickel/graphite filler.

It provides effective shielding of over 80dB from 100MHz to 10GHz and is suitable for use across a wide temperature range of -40 to +150C.

Inherent corrosion resistance coupled with the ability to operate at high temperatures, means that the material is well suited to environmentally demanding outdoor applications as well as those that are situated indoors.
