Port protection solutions in running for
award

California Micro Devices is a finalist in CMP Technology's EE Times third Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards.

California Micro Devices is a finalist in CMP Technology's EE Times third Annual Creativity in Electronics (ACE) Awards CMD's MediaGuard family of integrated port protection solutions is designed for high speed HDMI 1.3 interfaces in digital consumer devices such as digital TVs, DVD and recordable DVD players, flat panel monitors, set top boxes, personal computers and video game consoles

These newest low capacitance MediaGuard products integrate ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection, backdrive protection, overcurrent protection, voltage level shifting, as well as active DDC pullups and CEC slew rate limiting.

The MediaGuard CM2030 and CM2031 multifunction ASIP devices support the latest advanced HDMI 1.3 capabilities including higher speeds, as well as CEC enhancements and extended length cable support.
