RJ45 connectors with integrated magnetics offer several benefits in terms of electrical performance, equipment size and overall costs.

Cambridge Connectors provides a wide range of RJ45 modular style jacks that form the basis for Ethernet connectivity To meet the ever-increasing demand for higher datarates in smaller packages, the company now offers RJ45 connectors with integrated magnetics to complement its existing range

Integrated magnetics offer several benefits in terms of electrical performance, equipment size and overall costs.

Incorporating the integrated components within the metal shield of the connector's body enhances EMI performance.

In addition, the shortened PCB track lengths minimise interference from electromagnetic "noise" thus enhancing data integrity.

Reduced component count means smaller board sizes and reduced equipment sizes as well as lower assembly and material costs.

This all contributes to reductions in end equipment pricing.

Manufactured by Superworld Electronics using a patented "honeycomb" design, these RJ45 integrated magnetics connectors are offered in single-port, multiple-port and stacked-multiple-port designs for 10/100-Tx and 10/100/1000-Tx (gigabit) applications; an RJ45 dual USB-A combo version is also available.

Meeting or exceeding IEEE802.3 standards and fully RoHS compliant, all models come with LED options.

As well as computer and data networks, RJ45 integrated magnetics connectors can be employed in a wide range of Ethernet applications including industrial instrumentation, process control and broadcasting networks.
