C+K is also able to ensure continuity of sound when a printed circuit board is populated with a number of switches.

Novel tunable tactile switches enable sound intensity to be 100% controlled, with the ability to match the sound level of applications with two sound intensity grades.

"Typically, sound effect is a result of the switch design and is not controlled", says Eric Grange, C+K Components' Product Market Manager.

"However, with the materials selected and design of the KSC ST Series switches, we are able to tune the switches to meet the customer's specified sound level in accordance with the final product design, such as matching the sound with shape and colour".

C+K is also able to ensure continuity of the sound when a printed circuit board is populated with a number of switches.

The KSC ST Series switches feature a range of sound levels from high (50dBa minimum) to low (30dBa maximum) sound intensity levels.

The high reliability switches meet IP67 approvals and are available in J or G terminations with silver or gold plating.

The KSC ST Series sound tunable switches are ideal for a variety of automotive applications including steering wheels, HVAC, dashboards, door, seat and sunroof modules, as well as industrial control panels and medical and consumer applications.

Pricing for the KSC ST Series sound tunable tact switches starts at US $0.19 in quantities from 10,000 to 100,000.
