Linear supplies in and out of regulation
The Convel 52000 and 53000 series chassis mount models are the latest additions to the highly successful range of linear power supplies from Calex Electronics.
Half-brick convertors handle wide-ranging inputs
150W DC/DC convertors features an ultrawide 4:1 input range to accommodate 12, 24 and 48V nominal input voltage requirements.
Calex offers DC/DC convertors from 0.25 to 150W with single, dual, triple or quad outputs.
Models are available to accommodate inputs from 3.5 to 300V DC with 2:1 and 4:1 input ranges.
Outputs range from 0.75 to 48V DC.

Half bricks offer three high-current outputs
DC/DC convertors provide three fully independent and precisely regulated output voltages in a single compact package.
DC/DC convertors are made for sharing
Modular solution simplifies the task of paralleling DC/DC convertors for increased current capability and/or power system redundant load sharing.
The DC/DC convertors are available in surface mount, PCB mount, chassis mount and DIN rail mounting configurations.
Calex also offers AC/DC linear power supplies with single, dual and triple outputs up to 10W.
The AC/DC products are encapsulated and available in PCB and chassis mount configurations.
Calex has released Calex Brick Assembly Modules (CBAM) for military and avionics applications.
The CBAM concept allows the system designer to choose the features needed for the application at hand.
The CBAM solution allows the designer to mix and match modular products to create a power solution.
CBAM offers brown-out protection, EMI reduction (MIL-STD-461E), surge and spike protection (MIL-STD-1275B) and provides clean uninterrupted power to downstream circuitry.
Calex can incorporate CBAM functionality into a variety of form factors to meet application-specific requirements.
Also part of the CBAM offering is a load share module that simplifies the paralleling of DC/DC convertors while maintaining complete convertor functionality for redundancy or increased current capability.
CBAM modules are available with RoHS and nonRoHS construction.
Other new products include a 5W surface mount DC/DC convertor family with single and dual outputs.
Input ranges are 9 to 18, 18 to 36 and 36 to 75V DC.
Output voltages range from 3.3 to 15V DC.
The 5W SMT series is isolated input to output.
The Calex DC/DC offering includes a series of 10W DC/DC modules housed in a 24-pin DIP metal case.
The EW series offers input ranges of 9 to 18, 18 to 36 and 36 to 75V DC.
Output voltages range from 2.5 to 15V DC.
Like the SMT series, the EW series convertors are isolated input to output.
In addition to a number of new DC/DC convertor series and CBAM, Calex now also offers heatsinks for full, half and quarter-brick packaged products.
Every product detailed in the Short Form Product Guide is backed by Calex' five-year warranty.
If the solution required is not found in Calex' standard product offering, a custom worksheet is included to facilitate the custom design effort.
Calex specialises in modified standard product and complete custom designs.
