A rapid strategic review by C-Mac's senior management team, under Mukerjee's direction, has identified medical, automotive and transportation applications as promising directions for future growth, building on the company's existing strength in the communications, industrial and high-reliability military/aerospace sectors.

C-Mac Microtechnology has already chalked up successes in clinical monitoring and analysis systems, particularly through the application of hybrid circuit and sensor technology.
Its manufacturing site in Great Yarmouth, UK, was recently granted ISO13485 certification, making it an officially endorsed supplier of components and systems to medical equipment vendors.
C-Mac Microtechnology is also supplying leading-edge electro-optic and power management systems into high-profile multinational aerospace projects, and has multiyear agreements with a number of tier one and tier two automotive systems manufacturers to supply under-bonnet electronic modules and subassemblies.
Andrew Gray of leading private equity group Francisco Partners, and a C-Mac board member, said: "C-Mac today is the world leader in high-reliability electronic components, modules and systems, and it has the potential to be much more".
