New from Commell, the ES-270 ETX module is based on the latest Intel Centrino mobile technology 945GM Express chipset.

The module which supports Intel Core2 Duo, Core Duo and Core Solo Mobile processors, and is enhanced to handle demanding software applications - such as graphics-intensive games or serious number-crunching programs.

The ES-270 ETX module supports a 667MHz front side bus - a 25% increase in bandwidth over the previous generation - and can handle up to 2Gbyte of DDR2 667MHz memory in a single 200-pin SODIMM socket.

The integrated 256bit graphics core running at 400MHz and DirectX 9 3D hardware acceleration, based on the Intel GMA 950 architecture, delivers a twofold improvement in graphics performance over the previous generation chipset.

The integrated display controller comes with up to 2048 x 1536 resolution for both analogue and digital displays, multiple display types (LVDS,HDTV,CRT), and HDTV 480i/p, 576i/p, 720i/p, 1080i/p display resolution support.

The ES-270 comes with interfaces for 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet, floppy disk, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, parallel port, two RS232C ports, UltraDMA EIDE, SATA and IrDA onboard.

There are also four USB2.0 ports and AC97 audio.
