OEM-GPRS-2 supports Class 2 GPRS, dual band GSM (900/1800), Short Message Service (SMS), SMA antenna connection, AT-commands for call control, auto-dial, auto-answer and host serial interfacing up to 115.2Kbit/s.
The OEM-GPRS-2 also supports options for audio and/or GPS.
This module provides numerous low power modes suitable for battery-powered operation.
OEM-GPRS-2 is capable on waking up on numerous trigger conditions and performing simple functions before optionally returning to sleep modes.
Typical functions that can be triggered include: waking on timer expiry; sending an SMS message or dialling a number for a programmable time period; and returning to sleep mode.
Flexible configuration is provided for parameters such as: start, end and wake timers; DTR and host data triggers; and phone number and SMS enables.
"This product combines the flexibility of high speed wireless communication with low power and automated event processing in a mechanical footprint that is directly compatible with our existing communication module offerings", said Steve Whitehead, Comtech's Technical Director.
