Connect Tech has released the Xtreme/104-Express serial board, designed in support of the recently adopted PCI/104-Express specification The Xtreme/104-Express offers users a communication solution that has high data rates, rugged reliability and long-term sustainability for the industrial and embedded PC market

Xtreme/104-Express represents Connect Tech's highest throughput to date.

A flexible, built-in baud rate prescaler allows almost any baud rate to be matched with a high level of accuracy.

Fail-safe 1/8th load transceivers allow up to 256 devices on a bus and ensure that the network operates glitch-free through power-up and power-down.

Xtreme/104-Express also supports full industrial temperature range operation from -40 to +85C and features filtering on all ports to help improve immunity to EMI and noisy transmission lines for guaranteed dependability in communications.

The Xtreme/104-Express supports 9bit data modes, allowing an easy migration path for RS-485 customers who make use of this feature.

Its design provides users with a standards-compliant, high-performance communications solution that provides scalability and reliability for critical applications.

This PCI/104-Express serial board is suitable for military, aerospace, medical instrumentation and industrial control.
