Available now from Contax, the Electrovert OmniExcel 7 reflow oven is ideally suited to high-density board applications and offers outstanding cost savings when compared with similar systems These are due mainly to a series of new design enhancements that ensure its economical operation

The power consumption of the seven-zone oven can be reduced by up to 50%, thanks to the innovative chamber design that ensures uniform heat transfer and exceptional zone-to-zone segregation.

Also, nitrogen consumption can be up to 30% less than traditional systems.

This is achieved by balancing air flow patterns within the full system and utilising integrated curtain modules to control incoming air.

Finally, the OmniExcel substantially reduces maintenance costs.

The system incorporates a patent-pending, self-cleaning flux extraction system (FES) that enables maintenance schedules to be revised from weekly to monthly, so dramatically increasing machine up-time and productivity.

"This new OmniExcel 7, together with the OmniExcel 10, offers users outstanding savings in production costs whilst still ensuring the highest performance and reliability levels", said Jan O'Connor, Managing Director, Contax.

"We have already received a great deal of interest in this new reflow oven, and envisage that it will become the best-selling product in its class", he concluded.
