O'Connor stands down from top job
Jan O'Connor stands down as Managing Director and is replaced by Mike Rapson.
After seven years as Managing Director at production automation specialist Contax, Jan O'Connor has decided to stand down from this position O'Connor has enjoyed considerable success during his time as MD, but has now decided that he wishes to devote more time to his other business interests
He will remain a part-time Nonexecutive Board Director at Contax, and a significant shareholder in the company.
O'Connor is succeeded by Mike Rapson, a well-known and respected industry figure.
Rapson has worked at Contax for 20 years, including 16 as a Board Director.
He originally trained as an engineer and has a BSc in mechanical engineering from Newcastle University.
