These models have been designed with a conservative derating and design margins to ensure reliable operation in the most demanding medical system environment.
The SMM350 medical power supply is available as either a single- or dual-output power supply.
The high power main output will deliver 350W with any voltage from 24 to 48V in 0.1V increments.
The second channel (V2) will deliver 50W with any voltage from 5 to 24V in 0.1V increments.
The SMM350 medical power supplies offer the following features: intelligent logic nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery charger with low-voltage cutoff; worldwide medical safety approvals, including UL60601-1, CSA 22.2, No 601.1, CISPR11 and EN60601 CB Scheme; power factor correction (PFC) to meet demanding global requirements; a compact footprint of 127 x 191 x 60mm, which includes self-contained fan cover; remote sense, AC power fail and DC power good signals as standard; overcurrent, overvoltage and over-temperature protection; and dual line AC fusing.
A battery backup power supply is similar to a regular DC power supply with the exception that it can continue to supply power from batteries for a specified period after the AC line fails.
