Big supply drives distributed medical power
Condor DC Power reckons its GPFM1200 is the highest power medical power supply currently available as standard from any manufacturer.
Condor DC Power reckons its GPFM1200 is the highest power medical power supply currently available as standard from any manufacturer.
Condor's new 1200W single output product complements its existing GPFM series which now ranges in power from 115 to 1200W.
The GPFM1200 is available with a single 48V output, which also makes it ideal for distributed power applications.
Here, designers may then use readily available commercial DC/DC convertors whilst still conforming to the rigorous requirements of IEC60601-1-2.
In addition to the main 48V output, the unit has a second, small 12V 0.3A output, which Condor has added to power peripheral logic.
Input is 85 to 264V AC, and power factor correction is incorporated to minimise line disturbances.
The unit is housed in a 279 x 101 x 152mm case with built-in cooling fan.
Additional standard features include inhibit, enable, fan fail, over temperature warning, mains fail and power good.
Earth leakage under normal conditions is 90uA at 110V AC or 200uA at 264V AC, and with single fault leakage, 180 and 400uA, respectively.
The power supply is fully approved to all international medical approvals and CB report is available.
