Multi-output switcher with medical qualifications
Condor has released a 125W multi-output switching power supply housed in a compact 89 x 152 x 38mm package.
Tiny 15W supply with medical approvals
Measuring less than the size of a credit card, the new medically approved GSM15 from Condor DC power supplies will suit medical equipment applications where an ultrasmall power supply is needed.
Until recently, designers of medical equipment have been forced to either extensively modify standard class I power supplies, or turn to custom units designed specifically for these additional requirements.
Condor DC Power Supplies has recognised this and has begun to produce a number of its standard models in a class II form, considerably simplifying the tasks of medical equipment manufacturers.
The introduction of standard products will enable designers to more bring their products to market more quickly and without the need for minimum quantities or large custom design charges.
The first range to be made available is the G2M65 Series of single-output supplies.
The unit is approved such that all voltages between 5 and 48V are possible without additional approval charges.
This is of particular use where customers require voltages other than the more common 5, 12, 15V etc for battery charging or to accommodate line voltage drops.
Additionally the unit has a standard output adjustment potentiometer, which allows an additional +/-5% of fine adjustment.
The G2M65 is available in a compact 76 x 127 x 25mm size and produces 65W continuously, with 75W possible for 60s.
The unit can be supplied in either open frame format or with a cover as an option.
Ultrahigh efficiencies (up to 94%) are achieved by the incorporation of unique circuitry within the unit.
The G2M65 series also meet the requirements of EN61000-3-2, as well as all necessary medical approvals.
Input range is 90 to 264V AC at 47 to 63Hz.
