A new family of 17 standard medical power supply platforms meets all the requirements of Class II AC input, no earth ground connection.

A new family of 17 standard medical power supply platforms meets all the requirements of Class II AC input, no earth ground connection.

Developed to provide power for all types of medical equipment, but particularly where no earth is available, these new platforms are based on existing Condor 7, 15 and 65W units.

They are single output devices with any output voltage in the range 5 to 48V.

Efficiency levels range between 82 and 94% depending on model and output voltage, and package size - between 50 x 50 and 76 x 127mm - is also model dependent.

All models are certified in accordance with the applicable requirements of CSA22.2 No 60601.1M90, IEC60601-1 (1998) and EN60601-1: 1990.

According to Condor, the new platforms will find wide application in medical equipment designed to monitor and treat patients in their own home or in other residential situations - an area, the company believes, that will show high growth levels during the next five years.
