The Condor GNT 30 Series is a new lead free design of AC/DC power supply that will meet the requirements of the RoHS Directive by the end of Q2 2005.

The Condor GNT 30 Series is a new lead free design of AC/DC power supply that will meet the requirements of the RoHS Directive by the end of Q2 2005.

"The reason we cannot announce this new model as entirely lead free now, is the lack of some lead free components in production quantities", says European Sales and Marketing Director Nigel Davies.

"We have working non-lead-free models and will be able to announce the lead-free GNT 30 during the second quarter of next year".

In the meantime, customers are able to integrate these supplies into their designs now and switch to lead free as required", he adds.

The new GNT 30 Series are single output supplies, capable of 30W of output power from a very compact 50 x 80 x 20mm package.

The universal input, ranging from 90 to 264V AC, produces standard outputs ranging from 5 to 48V DC, and are available either factory set or with a +/-5% adjustment.

Other nonstandard voltages will be available to suit specific requirements.

Connection can be via either plug headers or terminal blocks.

Unusually, for a product of this power level, the unit features include a power on LED.

The GNT30 series supplies are fully approved to EN60601-1 and will be available to suit either Class I or Class II requirements for protection against electric shock.

Earth leakage at 254V AC/50Hz is 140uA under normal conditions and 300uA in single fault conditions.
