External supplies star in energy efficiency drive

Single-output external switchers meet the most stringent requirements for power efficiency and no-load consumption.

SL Power Electronics has a new family of 75W external switch-mode power supplies that comply with Level IV Energy Star requirements - the highest rating currently attainable.

The Ault PW156 family of single-output supplies is available in four voltages up to 75W.

By meeting Level IV Energy Star requirements, the Ault PW156 series meets international power supply efficiency standards, and complies with the mandatory California Energy Commission (CEC) Tier 2 standard.

The desktop-style Ault PW156 series satisfies a wide range of applications in the industrial, test and measurement, instrumentation, military/aerospace, communications and computer/peripheral market segments.

This new product family is available in 12, 15, 18 and 24V standard models.

SL Power Electronics also can modify any of the standard models to suit unique power or connectivity requirements.

The CE-compliant Ault PW156 meets UL60950-1, TUV/EN60950-1 and IEC60950-1 which reduces OEM time to market and ensures that the product can be sold worldwide.

The PW56 sells for less than US $29.00 in OEM quantities of 1000.
