Portable universal programmer uses USB unterface
The ALL-11P3 is a universal device programmer with a high-speed USB interface that makes it especially suited to linking with portable PCs.
The ALL-11P3 is a universal device programmer with a high-speed USB interface that makes it especially suited to linking with portable PCs.
The unit is powerful enough to perform demanding production tasks in the manufacturing environment and compact enough to use for field engineering work.
It currently supports over 12,000 devices, with dual-inline package devices plugging in directly and other packages interfaced via a range of adapters.
The ALL-11P3 can be used to program virtually any type of device with a programmable memory or configuration including EPROM, EEPROM, Flash, PLD/CPLD/FPGA, microcontrollers, BPROM and serial PROM.
It can also test SIP and SIMM DRAM modules with an optional adapter.
The programmer consists of a universal base and exchangeable adapters, and as standard comes with a 40-pin DIP adapter which allows direct programming of virtually all devices with 8-40 pins.
Adapters and convertors are available to support nearly every type of IC package including PLCC, SOP, TSOP, QFP, TQFP, PGA and SOJ.
Devices supported range from 8 to over 300 pins.
In addition to the adapters and convertors, 'gang-packs' are available for multisite programming.
The unit includes a high-speed CPU and a 1Mbit memory buffer expandable to 16Mbyte.
A high-speed parallel port (up to 130Kbyte/s) or a USB interface connect the programmer to any desktop or laptop PC running Windows 95/98/NT/2000/XP.
The software interface is a native Windows application.
The use of a new SMD SIMM module results in pin-driver circuits which provide extremely accurate programming waveforms.
The module operates at high speed with high reliability and has a compact form factor.
The ALL-11P3 can perform functional vector tests on programmable logic devices as fast as 4ns.
The Windows-based interface makes programming simple, and includes an 'auto' function which displays all functions that may be performed on the device.
After all desired functions are selected, programming is initiated by a single external key on the programmer.
The unit can process all popular file formats, and a full screen editor is provided to view or edit any address of the programming buffer in binary, ASCII, or logic fuse map formats.
Algorithms have been tested and approved by leading IC manufacturers.
The programmer is compact and lightweight, with an inbuilt power supply, and fits easily into a briefcase.
