Lower profile for shielded inductors
The Coiltronics SD10 range of drum core inductors combine an industry-leading profile of less than 1mm with 14% higher current saturation and 34% smaller footprint than any equivalent device.
For designers of applications requiring switching regulators for handheld devices such as laptop computers, PDAs, PC cards, mobile phones and GPS receivers, drum core inductors delivering high current saturation, a space saving low profile and a small footprint are a major benefit.
In answer to this, and the need for shielding against noise, Cooper Bussmann has unveiled the Coiltronics SD10 range of drum core inductors, complete with ferrite shielding.
The Coiltronics SD10 range bring an industry leading profile of less than 1mm together with 14% higher current saturation and 34% smaller footprint than any other equivalent device in the marketplace.
In addition, it is the only device available with ferrite shielding which is ideal for use in devices where radiated EMI is a concern or in high-density packages prone to noise coupling to adjacent devices or circuit cards.
The SD10's Series inductance ratings span 0.47 to 470mH and current from 2.59 to 0.117A.
Impedance is from 0.0249 to12.1ohm.
The operating temperature range of the devices is from -40 to +125C.
They are available supplied in tape and reel packs of 3800 units.
