Tim Herbert has been hired as vice president, North American sales for CoWare.

Tim Herbert has been hired as vice president, North American sales for CoWare.

Herbert has a strong background in semiconductor and EDA sales and consulting.

"CoWare has reached an exciting inflection point and is taking off in the market", Herbert said.

"Over the past three years, CoWare has laid the groundwork with the right software tools and the right base of top-tier customers.

CoWare has proven that their design methodology really can cut SoC design times in half.

Now companies are finding that they can't design complex SoCs without a proven tool like CoWare N2C".

"With his successful sales and consulting background, Tim is ideally positioned to take the North American sales organisation to the next level.

We're delighted to have him on board", said Isaac Sundarajan, CoWare's vice president of worldwide operations, Herbert's first sales position was with Intel in 1982.

In 1985, he joined Adaptec as the company's first direct sales person.

From 1989 to 1996 he was with Cadence Design Systems in a variety of sales positions, including director of sales for Japan and director of worldwide sales operations.

Over the past four years, Herbert developed a multi-million-dollar sales force effectiveness business, training and coaching several thousand sales people and their management teams in the software, semiconductor, IP and information services industries.

Herbert has a BS in computer engineering from Iowa State University.
