CoWare will showcase its solutions for the fast growing embedded DSP market at the 2004 GSPx Conference in Santa Clara, California, from 27th to 30th September 2004 At the conference, CoWare experts will offer insights into DSP technologies, solutions and trends through various panels, presentations and workshops

CoWare will also host a CoWare ESL innovations event following the show, where technologists, customers, and academics will discuss electronic system level (ESL) design solutions and trends.

In the CoWare booth, number 113, delegates can see demonstrations of CoWare's leading ESL design tools, including: the latest release of SPW - the most comprehensive DSP application solution that bridges the gap from DSP algorithm exploration to implementation into hardware and software; as well as its ConvergenSC system-level design solution - featuring the industry's fastest SystemC simulator - and the LISATek suite of tools for embedded processor modelling, design, and software tool generation.

Also in the booth, delegates can hear about solution flows and the growing ESL ecosystem from CoWare's ESL design and DSP core partners - including Cadence Design Systems, Toshiba and Sonics.

And, delegates can stop by the booth to talk with a CoWare wireless design expert, who will be on hand to field questions about wireless product design.

CoWare will take part in two industry panels at the conference.

On Wednesday 29th September at 1030, CoWare's Vice President of Engineering, Eshel Haritan, joins other leading DSP and ESL solution providers to discuss "When off-the-shelf DSPs won't do: new approaches to drive DSP solutions".

And at 1300 on 29th September, CoWare's Director of Marketing for SPW, Dr Johannes Stahl, will join other industry leaders in a discussion on "The other system design language: Matlab for DSP design automation".

CoWare's Dr Bo Wu will lead an intensive workshop on "Designing advanced wireless applications with SPW", at 0900 on Monday 27th September.

Through a state-of-the-art wireless standard example, participants will learn how ESL design tools can help them meet the power and cost requirements of their handset designs, while also incorporating the myriad functional requirements imposed by increasingly complex standards.

At 1330 on Monday 27th September, CoWare's Dr Andrea Kroll will lead a workshop entitled "ASIP implementation of advanced wireless applications with LISATek".

Participants will learn how the latest ESL technologies for advanced wireless design can help them address various implementation challenges associated with the increasing use of multiple processors on an SoC.

Papers to be presented by CoWare at GSPx include: "A methodology and tooling enabling application specific processor design", "Delivering SPW system specifications into SystemC design flows", "Object oriented C++ library for signal and image processing", and "MBOA and DS-UWB proposals for UWB standard: a system level comparison".

CoWare is also a sponsor of the second North America SystemC Users Group (NASCUG) meeting, being held at GSPx.

CoWare wraps up the GSPx conference with a CoWare ESL innovations event.

GSPx delegates and other CoWare customers and partners are welcome to attend free-of-charge this three hour event - beginning at 1330 on Thursday 30th September.

Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from CoWare technologists, users, and academia about current and future ESL design solutions and trends.

Presenters from CoWare include: Alan Naumann, President and CEO; and Eshel Haritan, Vice President of Engineering.

Other presenters include: Bill Lawton, Staff Engineer, InterDigital Communications Corp; Robert Westwick, Principal Consultant, PA Consulting; Mario Steinert of Infineon; Charan Langton, Analysis and Simulation Manager, Space Systems Loral; and Professor Giovanni de Micheli of Stanford University.
