The TIP675 I/O module joins a range of more than 35 off-the-shelf IndustryPack (IP) mezzanine modules produced by Tews Technologies.

The new TIP675 I/O module introduced by Crellon Microsystems joins a range of more than 35 off-the-shelf IndustryPack (IP) mezzanine modules produced by Tews Technologies.

With the addition of the TIP675 to its range, Crellon Microsystems emphasises Tews' commitment to IP and has enhanced its support for this widely accepted mezzanine standard that enables flexible, cost effective and easily upgradeable modular design models.

IP provides a convenient method of implementing many I/O, control, interface, slave processor, analogue and digital functions in industrial, military and aerospace, communications and other markets.

By providing 48 tristate TTL I/O lines with interrupts, the TIP675 a large number of discreet channels to be monitored and controlled in applications including process control, simulation and testing, military and aerospace, transportation systems and more.

The TIP675 I/O lines feature pull-up resistors, are bidirectional, TTL-compatible, and can each generate an interrupt that is enabled and cleared individually.

Six resistor networks mounted in sockets, which can be removed or changed in value, implement the pull-ups.

Interrupts for negative and positive transitions may be used together with separate interrupt pending registers.

In addition, all interrupt inputs have an electronic debounce circuit to prevent short spikes on input lines.

Optionally, the I/O lines can be configured for simultaneous update internally and across several IPs with the use of an external clock source.

Driver software is available for major embedded operating systems, and full engineering documentation for first time users includes TIP675 schematics and datasheets.
