The Interphase 4531, available in the UK from Crellon Microsystems, allows system integrators to access the ATM backbone without requiring an external CSU/DSU.
Embedded motherboard configured for connectivity
The PATX3070 Pentium-class motherboard, now available from Crellon Microsystems, combines AGP graphics capability with a range of powerful interfaces.
Available in 32/64bit, 33/66MHz PCI, cPCI or PMCbus options, the Angelo RTV frame grabbers have an image acquisition speed of up to 120 frames per second and accept standard composite colour (Pal, NTSC) or monochrome video formats (CCIR, EIA).
Onboard TTL-compatible I/O lines are protected from overload and electrostatic discharges.
Every line may be configured as an input or output or can be used to trigger an acquisition or report an alarm condition.
The new acquisition boards offer programmable resolution options including square pixel (640 x 480 or 768 x 576) and broadcast resolution.
Before images are transferred to the PC memory they can be scaled down using selectable ratios.
Arbitrary cropping to regions of interest is also possible, while bitmaps in all popular formats such as RGB, YUV, planar or packed, can be generated by the video frame grabbers.
The RTV-24, cRTV-24, cRTV44 and PMC-RTV-21 video frame grabbers from Crellon support VC++/VB programming under Windows 98/2000/XP, and a user-friendly ViewCreator utility assists developers to evaluate initial tests and functions.
Additionally, a hardware watchdog and channel extension up to 16 inputs is available with the RTV-24 device.
The watchdog is able to monitor application operation for more reliable operation of remote systems.
