CompactPCI board offers upgrade path
The new CK5 is a 6U, host or peripheral, CompactPCI single board computer designed for rugged environments.
Designed for rugged environments, the new CK5 from Crellon Microsystems is a 6U, host or peripheral, CompactPCI single board computer which offers an upgrade path to the popular K2CC and CK3 with increased processor, system bus and memory bus speeds and system memory capacities Boasting a 1GHz Motorola MPC7447A G4 host processor with 512Kbyte of on board L2 cache, supported by a 167MHz MPX system bus, the CK5 also integrates the Marvell MV64460 PowerPC system controller (Discovery III ) bridge chip that combines high performance system and communications peripherals on a single chip

Embedded controller allows direct access to ATM
The Interphase 4531, available in the UK from Crellon Microsystems, allows system integrators to access the ATM backbone without requiring an external CSU/DSU.
Rear I/O expansion is catered for by two IEEE1368.1 standard PMC sites on separate buses and the CK5 has the same backplane interfaces as the CK3 to support existing applications.
There are eight programmable GPIO ports with independent interrupts each of which can be programmed for direction, input polarity, output type and interrupt mask.
The CK5 comes in extended temperature range (-40 to +85C) for both conduction and convection cooled versions.
