Although the size of the Adlink NuPRO-825 SBC has been reduced, the features certainly have not.

New from Acal Microsystems is the NuPRO-825, a recently introduced, half sized PCI single board computer (only 191 x 122mm) from the Adlink stables.

It comes with a choice of Pentium M processors ranging from 1.1GHz up to a racy 2.0GHz or the Celeron M series which goes from 600MHz to 1.3GHz.

Although the size has been reduced, the features certainly have not.

This board boasts the Intel 855GME chipset with ICH5, 350MHz integrated 24bit RAMDAC supporting standard progressive scan analogue monitors with pixel resolution up to 1600 x 1200 at 85MHz and 2048 x 1536 at 75MHz.

There is also a one channel transmitter interface to support LVDS panel resolutions up to UXGA.

There are two o board DDR SO-DIMM sockets with support for DDR266/333 up to 2Gbyte, two USB ports on the faceplate and two more via pin headers compliant with USB spec Rev 2.0, individual overcurrent protection.

There are two channels of Serial ATA-150 in addition to the single channel ATA-100, two RS232 COM ports with 2kV ESD protection, onboard CompactFlash support and a two stage watchdog timer.

The NuPRO-825's Ethernet incorporates the Intel PXE preboot and is catered for by the dual 10/100/1000 Gigabit ports via the Intel 82540EM controller or a single 10/100 Fast Ethernet using the Intel 82562 controller.
