Multiturn encoder has multiple bus interfaces
CTL Components has a multiturn encoder with an interchangeable bus interface design, which allows a single encoder body to be combined with a wide variety of different field bus systems.
The new light pipes are designed to provide optimal illumination from the radiating surface, coupled with production benefits such as high resistance to ESD (electrostatic discharge) and avoidance of component mix-ups on the PCB.
Manufactured by German company Mentor, the 1283 series light pipes can be specified with a choice of red, white, yellow or green integrated LEDs and are ideal for applications in the telecommunications, industrial control, automotive and biomedical engineering sectors.
The light pipes are initially available in five different models: a vertically radiating version with a domed or flat radiating surface of diameter 3mm, a vertically radiating version with a 5 x 2mm radiating surface, a horizontally radiating version with a 3mm diameter flat radiating surface, and two further horizontally radiating versions with domed radiating surfaces of diameters 3 and 5mm.
The two latter versions can be supplied with optional glare covers, for use when the units are mounted in a side-by-side arrangement.
