Automotive relays are upgraded with an increased switching capacity of 40A in an SPST normally open contact arrangement.

CIT Relay and Switch has upgraded its A9 Series of relays for automotive applications with an increased switching capacity of 40A in an SPST normally open contact arrangement The A9 Series uses standard automotive fuses, with nine options from 3 to 40A, and accommodates industry standard resettable fuses as well

Coil voltage options are 6, 12 and 24V DC.

Maximum initial contact resistance is 50mohm, maximum switching power is 420W, maximum switching voltage is 75V DC and maximum switching current is 30A.

CIT's QS9000 and ISO9002 certified manufacturing ensures quality and continuous reliability.

Standard, RoHS lead free, environmentally friendly (no cadmium) contacts are AgSnO2.

Tested electrical life of the A9 Series is 100,000 cycles, 40A/14V DC with mechanical life of 10 million cycles.

Insulation resistance is 100Mohm at 500V DC.

Minimum dielectric strength of the A9 Series coil to contact is 750V RMS at sea level, and contact to contact is 500V RMS.

Shock resistance is 100m/s2 for 11 minutes with vibration resistance of 1.27mm double amplitude 10-40Hz.

Copper alloy terminal strength is 8N.

Operating temperature range is -40 to +85C and storage temperature is -40 to +155C.

A9 Series relays measure in at 35.5 x 25.5 x 21.0mm and weigh 32g.

Applications for A9 Series relays include automotive and lamp accessories.

Volume pricing ranges from US $0.99 dependent on coil, contact configuration, fuse selection and volume.

CIT Relay and Switch lead-time is stock to 10 weeks.
