EMC testing expands to whole vehicles

A 3C Test product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Jul 5, 2007

Brand new 10m semi-anechoic chamber can accommodate all types of vehicles for both emissions measurements and immunity testing.

3C Test can now offer UKAS-accredited whole vehicle EMC testing at its new premises at Silverstone Circuit, Northamptonshire.

The company has also received VCA Technical Service Status, meaning that no VCA attendance is required at test, thereby reducing costs.

Whether testing vehicles to the automotive directive (2004/104/EC) or much larger vehicles, such as tractors (ISO14982) or earthmovers (ISO13766), the brand new 10m semi-anechoic chamber can accommodate all types.

The chamber enables both 10m emissions measurements and immunity testing, eliminating the need to move the vehicle, resulting in reduced setup times together with reduced costs.

Built with 4.5m entry doors and 20 tonne point loading, it is the largest privately owned fully CISPR 16 compliant chamber in the UK.
