Circuit Assembly has begun full production of its Serial ATA cable assemblies and is beginning order shipment to customers around the globe.
Serial ATA cable assemblies are designed to succeed the Ultra ATA parallel interface cable assemblies.
The new generation cable assemblies feature small form factor and low profile for limited-space applications, low pin count using serial data transmission, and thin and flexible cables for easy routing.
Circuit Assembly's full production of Serial ATA cable assemblies is primarily fulfilled through CA's facilities in Shen Zhen, China.
This 8600m2 plant along with the other CA manufacturing and assembly facilities in the USA, Taiwan and Mexico, enables Circuit Assembly to increase its extensive production capabilities and to offer tremendous cost savings to meet the price/volume demands of customers around the globe.
The China facility, as well as the US and Taiwan facilities, is certified to ISO9001.
Circuit Assembly is currently shipping its Serial ATA cable assemblies in volume to manufacturers of host bus adapters, motherboards and hard disk drives.
These cable assemblies include three configurations using straight and right-angle cable exits.
Circuit Assembly's Serial ATA cable assemblies combine the technology of CA connectors and Hitachi cables to provide top quality Serial ATA interconnect solutions.
