In September 2003 CMT's sister company won a DTI Smart Award to develop a condition monitoring sensor and electronics for an offshore wind turbine application.
To proceed with the project CMT needed to find a company that could supply a full turnkey service with a high level of design and test capability and rapid prototyping of assembled PCBs.

"I have been very pleased with the performance of CIL in all aspects of materials management, test and manufacture of the PCBs".
