A CIL Custom Interconnect product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Aug 31, 2007

Eight CIL operators undertook a three day training course conducted by Advance Rework Technology.

CIL has organised a solder training programme to ensure that all its operators are qualified to IPC-A-610 Level 3, the highest level of the international standard for soldering.

Eight operators undertook a three day training course conducted by Advance Rework Technology (ART), an official IPC certification centre with the training led by Debbie Wade, an IPC master trainer.

CIL Managing Director, John Boston, said: "We have invested heavily in equipment to achieve the best possible production quality but 75% of PCB assemblies in manufacture at CIL involve hand soldering to some degree and it is our policy to ensure that all our operators are trained to the same exacting standard".

"All eight attendees passed the course with flying colours and we will be running a similar course for our remaining operators within the next few months".

"It is well known that CIL has made a big investment in modern production equipment over the past few years and we are equally committed to improving our internal systems and developing our staff skill levels to ensure that we offer the best possible manufacturing service to our customers".
