Cypress Semiconductor has received its third Partners in Performance award from Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

Cypress Semiconductor has received its third Partners in Performance award from Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS).

Awards were handed out to select suppliers at Celestica's third annual Global Supplier Awards in Toronto.

The awards were given in recognition of outstanding achievements and support of Celestica's electronics manufacturing services goals.

This is the fourth supplier recognition award Cypress has received from Celestica in the last four years.

"We are very pleased to be recognised once again by Celestica for our efforts to help them meet their supply-chain objectives through our strategic programmes and dedicated account support", said Bien Irace, Cypress's director, worldwide contract manufacturing channel.

"This award underscores Cypress's continued commitment to the contract manufacturing channel worldwide".

The Partners in Performance awards are given to suppliers based on their ability to support Celestica's supply chain management objectives in the following areas: flexibility and responsiveness, impact on asset management, effectiveness and efficiency, and overall supplier performance.

"Cypress's support of Celestica's supply chain requirements were essential to the success of Celestica's relationships with its customers", said Karlheinz Totz, vice president, corporate commodity management, Celestica.
