"To be successful in today's highly competitive business climate, Cypress recognises that it needs to provide not only great silicon but superior customer care as well", said Ralph Schmitt, EVP for sales and marketing at Cypress.

"The Cypress ConnectionCenter now becomes one of our major tools to communicate with our customers and ensure their long-term satisfaction".

The Cypress ConnectionCenter system - accessible through the Cypress web site - is designed to provide timely resolutions of technical issues.

Customers can log on to the system's MySupport gateway, where they are encouraged to first visit the online KnowledgeBase FAQ database.

If the customer's question is not covered by the FAQ, the customer then can open a "case" that will be resolved by the support team.

The MySupport page is a central location that tracks and archives each customer's cases.

Customers are notified by email of any updates to their cases.

The Cypress ConnectionCenter team aims to respond to any issue within 24 hours.

The system is one of several initiatives implemented to improve the overall Cypress customer experience, including a quarterly customer satisfaction survey.

"Our customers now have a system that ensures the timely resolution of their product and support issues", said Bill Verdi, Cypress VP for headquarters sales.

"Regardless of where they are located worldwide, our customers can use the Cypress ConnectionCenter system to receive current product information and personal assistance".
