The new MoBL-USB TX2 transceiver is offered in a 56-ball VFBGA (very fine pitch ball grid array) package that measures only 5 x 5mm with 0.5mm ball pitch - the industry's smallest.
It also offers the lowest suspend current at just 15uA.
The device is ideally suited for a wide range of battery-powered applications such as mobile phones, PDAs, smart phones, portable media players and handheld global positioning systems.
"The Monahans platform family delivers key features and flexibility that will enable a higher level of integrated functionality than ever before, and we are extremely enthusiastic about having been selected as the USB transceiver solution on the Monahans platform development kit", said Steven Larky, Managing Director of Cypress's USB product line.
