Using the NS Geode GX1 processor as its core, the new CPU-1232 embedded computer from DSL offers a wide range of integrated facilities, including CRT/LCD and 10/100Mbit/s fast Ethernet, in a PC/104 format Also integrated in this PC/AT compatible computer with it's 266-300MHz MMX processor, are SVGA, two serial and one parallel ports, IDE, keyboard, mouse, two USB sockets and an AC97 audio sound port

Available with either 64 or 128Mbyte of DRAM, the CPU-1232 has the BIOS located in a 1Mbyte Flash EPROM and is reprogrammable onboard.

The setup parameters are saved on the same Flash, enabling the module to operate without a battery.

There is a socket for a solid-state disk which performs like an HDD unit and can be used to store the operating systems, the user's program and data files.

Operating from a single +5V supply, the CPU-1232 also features a floppy disk control which is multiplexed with the parallel port.

Available in -50 to +80C temperature version as standard, extended temperature ranges are also available.

The CPU-1232 operates with ROM-DOS, QNX, Win 95/98, Windows NT and CE, VX Works and Linux.
