Icop Technology's very first EBX board boasts a range of features normally found in a high end desktop PC.

With a range of features normally found in a high end desktop PC, the new ICOP-6240, Icop Technology's very first EBX board, has been launched in Europe by Datasound Laboratories Unlike a desktop PC, the 6240 measures just 5.75 x 8in and runs off a single 5V supply

Driven by a fanless 533MHz VIA Core Fusion processor, the board has six serial ports, dual LAN, audio, two USB interfaces, an enhanced IDE port and 256Mbyte of onboard RAM.

16bit GPIO is also included in this vast array of features.

The ICOP-6240 also supports integrated 2D/3D AGP4x graphics, providing MPEG2 acceleration for use with industry standard VGA and TFT flat panel interfaces.

The extensive list of features in the ICOP-6240 makes it a very ideally suited for customers requiring a system that no moving parts and a very compact footprint.

RoHS compliant, the 6240 supports DOM and CompactFlash and is quite comfortable working in ambient temperatures of -20 to +60C.

Despite this level of performance and the extensive range of features, the ICOP-6240 has been developed with economy in mind and costs just GBP 189 in the prototype quantities (1-9 off) dropping to GBP 153 for production quantities (100 off).
