Novel regulation makes dual DC/DCs more flexible
Datel's new BWR-5/3.3, 33W Series mixed-voltage, dual-output (3.3 and 5V) DC/DC convertors feature a novel output structure that does not limit output current in the traditional manner.
More current from industry-standard convertors
Datel's new USN Series D5 SIPs are nonisolated DC/DC convertors that accept a 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V input range) and deliver 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V outputs at either 8 or 10A.
The "front end" of the CPI-510P uses four 14bit A/Ds with 0 to +5 or +2.5V user selectable full-scale input ranges.
The "A/D per channel" architecture, combines with clever sample clocking, allows all four channels to be captured exactly in parallel This enables very capable phase-coherent sensor arrays such as accelerometers, sonar and doppler studies and multiple simultaneous radar channels.
Each channel may sample up to 2.5MHz in parallel or 3MHz per channel in single channel made.
Applications include high end DSP and FFTs.
The A/D outputs feed an onboard 8192-sample FIFO memory, which is designed for nonstop streaming to much larger host memory.
Using a combination of an advanced Datel-written device driver and onboard PCI bus mastering with a direct memory access (DMA) controller, the CPCI-510P can temporarily take control of the bus, all without requiring slow CPU clock cycles to transfer each sample.
The FIFO simultaneously reads and writes analogue samples.
The A/D section is clocked by an onboard programmable frequency synthesiser or external sample clock.
A single-channel 16bit onboard D/A convertor doubles as an analogue level trigger.
32bit of general purpose digital I/O connect via internal header.
The CPCI-510P is available with advanced C++ Windows software source code for developers (optional model CPCI-510WINS, $395) to integrate any conceivable applications.
The board includes an executable (binaries-only) version of this software at no charge.
The system offers a high performance device driver, DLL library and graphic user interface for windows 9X/NT/2K/ME.
CPCI-510WINS also includes LabVIEW Virtual instrument icons, ActiveX controls, Visual Basic example and MS-DOS test sources.
