Novel regulation makes dual DC/DCs more flexible
Datel's new BWR-5/3.3, 33W Series mixed-voltage, dual-output (3.3 and 5V) DC/DC convertors feature a novel output structure that does not limit output current in the traditional manner.
More current from industry-standard convertors
Datel's new USN Series D5 SIPs are nonisolated DC/DC convertors that accept a 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V input range) and deliver 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V outputs at either 8 or 10A.
The system is ideal for testing power supply rejection on development circuits.
The PCI-462 includes two unipolar channels of 0 to +20.475V and 0 to -6.1425V channels, each delivering 1A maximum, typically for logic circuits.
All four output channels are isolated from the host PCI bus by 250V RMS and can be series connected for either 40V, 250mA or 12V, 1A applications.
Each channel employs an independent 12bit D/A convertor under software control.
Sense feedback offers precise load regulation.
The output channels are unconditionally stable under all load conditions.
Transient response is 200us.
Both the current and voltage may be monitored on all output channels with an onboard fully isolated 16-channel analogue input system using a 12bit A/D convertor.
Four independent +5V external analogue inputs and four calibration channels may also be measured.
Triggering can be either internal or external.
Four software programmable isolated digital channels (two inputs and two power mosfet outputs) can control discrete devices.
One input may be configured as a PCIbus interrupt to flash alarms or perform emergency shutdown.
All input/output connections use a standard 37-pin D connector on the rear panel.
The PCI-462 is available with advanced Windows software source code for developers (optional model PCI-462WINS), to integrate any conceivable application.
The board includes an executable (binaries only) version of this software at no charge.
The system offers a high-performance device driver, DLL library and graphic user interface.
It readily ports out to LabView Virtual Instrument icons, ActiveX controls and Visual Basic environments.
