Novel regulation makes dual DC/DCs more flexible
Datel's new BWR-5/3.3, 33W Series mixed-voltage, dual-output (3.3 and 5V) DC/DC convertors feature a novel output structure that does not limit output current in the traditional manner.
More current from industry-standard convertors
Datel's new USN Series D5 SIPs are nonisolated DC/DC convertors that accept a 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V input range) and deliver 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V outputs at either 8 or 10A.
The 12bit A/D output data streams to a local FIFO memory and then out to the PCIbus, offering nonstop collection of gigabytes with no gaps in the data.
While sampling, the PCI-417 takes over the PCIbus as a DMA bus master, streaming directly to host memory without burdening the CPU.
The two board series differ by their input ranges, 0 to +4.096V for the 417K and +2.5V for the 417L.
Other onboard resources include a pair of streaming 16bit analogue output D/A channels and 24bit digital I/O.
An onboard programmable frequency synthesiser or crystal-divider sample clock and 24bit sample counter work together with both analogue and digital trigger systems.
A novel digital marker input channel correlates external events to analogue phenomena.
A full technical datasheet is on Datel's website.
The board includes CD-ROM software and a comprehensive users manual with complete register information.
System developers will appreciate Datel's high-performance software.
Instead of just the usual collection of "blind" function binaries, the fully commented Visual C++ source code is optionally available, allowing users to fully understand how everything works and to custom tune it to their applications.
Over 50 documented DLL functions also include LabView VIs and ActiveX controls for integration with third-party systems.
All major Windows versions (98SE, NT, Me, 2000 and XP) are supported plus menued GUI as well as MS-DOS example code and Visual Basic applications.
The software fully exercises the board, saves and displays data and is adaptable for any conceivable application.
