Wide input range for flexible convertors
Datel's new UHE "Q" models appeal to all markets by combining wide inputs with excellent electrical performance, standard footprint, rugged packaging, and attractive pricing.
Datel's new UHE "Q" models appeal to all markets by combining wide inputs with excellent electrical performance (efficiencies to 90%, noise as low as 50mV peak-peak), standard footprint, rugged packaging, and attractive pricing Eschewing the open-frame "brick" packages so popular for telecomms DC/DC convertors, UHE converters have opted for a traditional, 41 x 51 x 10.2mm, encapsulated plastic package

Novel regulation makes dual DC/DCs more flexible
Datel's new BWR-5/3.3, 33W Series mixed-voltage, dual-output (3.3 and 5V) DC/DC convertors feature a novel output structure that does not limit output current in the traditional manner.
More current from industry-standard convertors
Datel's new USN Series D5 SIPs are nonisolated DC/DC convertors that accept a 5V input (4.5 to 5.5V input range) and deliver 1.5, 1.8, 2.5 or 3.3V outputs at either 8 or 10A.
The rugged package is perfect for harsh industrial environments and requires neither the handling precautions nor active airflow normally associated with bricks.
All models are fully isolated (1500V DC), line/load regulated (+0.1%/+0.15% maximum) and fully I/O protected.
All feature input pi filters, input undervoltage and overvoltage lockout, input reverse-polarity protection, output overvoltage protection, output current limiting, continuous short-circuit protection, and thermal shutdown.
Each model has an output voltage trim pin and an on/off control function.
3.3 and 5V output models offer sense pins.
UHE convertors are packaged in low-cost, lightweight, diallyl phthalate (UL94V0 rated) plastic packages with standoffs.
EMC compliance is achieved via a low-noise design rather than expensive metal shielding.
All models are certified to UL/EN/IEC60950 safety requirements for basic insulation.
"Q48" models (with 75V maximum inputs) are CE marked.
Small quantities of UHE series DC/DC converters (or free sample/evaluation units) can be ordered directly from the Datel website using credit cards.
