The T-Systems lab was commissioned to find any design flaws in CryptoCell that could be used for sophisticated back door attacks to sensitive data.
Discretix' design was proven able to withstand these challenges.
The exhaustive evaluation included all elements of the hardware core (public key infrastructure (PKI), bulk encryption and random number generator) as well as a firmware code review.
By incorporating its innovative built-in countermeasures CryptoCell successfully withstood an array of attacks that included differential power analysis, simple power analysis, timing attacks and fault attacks.
CryptoCell's functionality was described as "implemented efficiently and secure" and in conclusion, the report states, "no security risk was found".
