Specialist electronics displays manufacturer, Densitron Europe, is marketing an lcd display module which has unique design elements making it very suited to automotive applications.
As part of its move towards becoming a systems manufacturer for OEMs needing a complete display solution, Densitron sees the SAW touchscreens as an important part of its plans.
The company says that by adding one of the new touchscreens to its own TFT, adding a surround and then packaging it with its DPX-114 single board computer, it has the potential to satisfy a wide range of public access requirements due to the high level of vandal resistance in the SAW product.
Available in flat LCD sizes from 6.4 to 23.1in and CRT in spherical and flat from 15 to 21in, the display can be supplied with RS232 or USB connections.
Densitron can also supply other A-Touch screens in capacitive, infra-red and four- and five-wire resistive versions.
Providing superior clarity, the SAW screens provide high light transmission, have a fast response time and can be activated by finger, gloved hand or stylus.
