DED is showing the TP6000 touch screen terminal from Posiflex on its stand at Retail Solutions Ideal for retail, hospitality, kiosk or e-commerce applications, the TP6000 offers high performance, efficiency and flexibility

Featuring an Intel Celeron 500MHz processor which is easily upgradeable via Socket 370 technology to Pentium III CPU, the touchscreen also has 64Mbyte RAM and a 10.2Gbyte hard disk drive, and is designed to support Windows 98, NT and 2000.

Its novel space-saving footprint enables it to be used in both desktop and wall mounted positions, whilst the robust design is able to withstand encounters in the harshest of environments.

The TP6000 offers the end user a choice of either 12 or 15in TFT active LCD panels with dual backlit tubes, providing an easily adjustable screen angle of between 17.5 and 87.5 degrees.

A choice of case colour adds the finishing touches to this hard wearing screen, which is a waterproof and spill proof design allowing for easy cleaning.

Featuring a security lock to prevent unauthorised access to the input/output data devices, accidental powering down can be avoided by programming the power switch to the "turn on" function or it can be programmed by LAN or modem.

An integrated UPS also protects the system from intermittent power failures.

The device also supports dual independent video output which allows an additional screen to be driven simultaneously showing promotional material whilst the user views the standard cashier screen.

Additional options include a choice of two modules which may be fitted to the side of the TP6000 providing a host of additional features.

A three-track MSR, smart card reader/writer and fingerprint sensor are housed in one module, whilst the second module incorporates these in addition to a 40-key programmable keyboard.

Additional accessories to enhance the system could include an external floppy disk drive, 2 x 20 line LCD customer display and wall mount bracket.
