During the APEX 2005 trade show in Anaheim, California last week, DEK was recognised with two highly coveted industry awards The first award, Circuits Assembly magazine's Service Excellence Award, was won by DEK in recognition the company's outstanding customer service

The second honour bestowed on the company was a Vision Award presented by SMT magazine for DEK's innovative VectorGuard stencil technology.

Voted on by DEK customers, the Circuits Assembly Service Excellence Awards programme is the only such contest in the industry and winners are determined based solely on customer ratings in five critical areas of customer service: dependability, ease of use, responsiveness, technology and value for the price.

This is the third consecutive Service Excellence Award win for DEK, which clearly illustrates not only the company's high level of customer satisfaction, but the ongoing consistency with which customer service issues are addressed.

"Winning Circuits Assembly's Service Excellence Award for the third consecutive year is extremely gratifying for us", says Richard Heimsch, President of DEK International.

"DEK's corporate philosophy of total customer delight is one which our entire staff embraces and it is very satisfying to see the fruits of these efforts recognised by our customers".

In addition to the kudos received for its superior level of customer service, DEK was also recognised last week for the company's development of the innovative VectorGuard frameless stencil system and was award with SMT's Vision Award in the printing category.

The Vision Awards are voted on each year by a panel of industry experts and rate each product entry based on several challenging criteria, including: innovativeness, cost effectiveness, speed/throughput improvements, quality contribution, ease of use, maintainability/repairability and environmental responsibility.

The VectorGuard stencil system, introduced to the US market in 2004, is a unique frameless stencil system that allows for maximum ease of use, improved operator safety, manufacturing cost-efficiency and environmental friendliness.

Commenting on VectorGuard's Vision Award, Neil MacRaild, Americas General Manager for DEK process support products, says: "Over the past year, we have seen a dramatic increase in the use of DEK's VectorGuard technology and we sincerely thank SMT magazine for recognising what many electronics manufacturers have already discovered: that VectorGuard is truly an innovative and forward-looking technology".

The latest in several award wins for DEK, the Service Excellence Award and the Vision Award further illustrate the company's commitment to providing customers with the highest levels of service and next-generation process-enabling technologies.
