DEK has signed a supply and license agreement for its innovative VectorGuard stencil technology with Gemido, the France-based designer and manufacturer of machines for the electronics industry.

DEK has signed a supply and licence agreement for its innovative VectorGuard stencil technology with Gemido, the France-based designer and manufacturer of machines for the electronics industry Under the terms of the agreement, Gemido will manufacture VectorGuard stencils from foil blanks supplied by DEK and will also provide customers with VectorGuard frames

The agreement gives DEK greater reach within Europe, enabling customers in France and the French part of Switzerland to benefit from the enhanced accessibility to the VectorGuard technology.

Gemido will implement this agreement in France and the French part of Switzerland, with well-established sales channels and customer relationships in both regions.

Introduced in 2003, the VectorGuard stencil system enhances user-friendliness, handling, storage and turnaround time for users of frame-mount stencils.

The extruded aluminium safety edges and plastic corner pieces of each stencil are easy to remove for recycling, making VectorGuard an environmentally friendly solution.

They are also easy to mount and dismount from the new VectorGuard frame without using special equipment.

In an ongoing effort to provide today's manufacturing professionals with easy access to the latest technologies, DEK has licensed several of its market leading innovations including ProFlow, PumpPrinting and selected DEK software products to competitors and independent specialists worldwide.

"Licensing this technology is a win-win for everyone", says Michael Brianda of DEK.

"Customers benefit from the expanded accessibility of the technology; licensees are able to grow their product offerings; and DEK realises increased market acceptance of the VectorGuard system".
