DEK has added a number of performance and productivity improvements to its Horizon product line.
Screen service provides fast delivery
Manufacturers of PV cells can combine DEK's precision screens with printers from DEK or third-party suppliers.
In addition, formalised methodologies ensure the fastest possible implementation at each site, according to individual customer needs.
Underpinning the DEK Lead-Free brand is DEK's extensive lead-free process knowledge and compatibility database for lead-free solder pastes and materials, acquired through laboratory research, collaboration with technology partners, and numerous successful lead-free process development projects.
DEK's formalised approach to implementing lead-free preplacement begins with a focused process audit, and subsequently follows DEK's established site implementation plan (SIP) methodology.
This reduces turnaround time and minimises risk when creating lead-free processes to meet a variety of requirements.
In addition, DEK Lead-Free includes tutored workshop sessions with unlimited Q and A, allowing customers to gain hands-on experience of lead-free materials and processes, in an offline environment at DEK technical centres located throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
"As the first assembly process in virtually all SMT production lines, screen printing needs to be perfectly in balance to achieve high quality and high yield at the end of line", said Mike Besant, General Manager European Sales and Distribution.
"DEK Lead-Free not only enables an optimally efficient, right-first-time transition to lead-free screen printing, but also includes all process support products, knowledge and process development expertise to support our customers' lead-free processes in the longer term.
"Since we have always taken total responsibility for our customers' preplacement processes, it is natural that we should deliver such a rigorous solution to the challenges of lead-free", he continued.
"This is why assemblers everywhere should not simply go lead-free, but should be sure to go DEK Lead-Free".
