DEK's UK Technology Day will be held in conjunction with selected strategic partners including BTU, Assembleon, Henkel and Nutek.

DEK has confirmed the lineup for its 21st Century Line Technology Day, scheduled to take place on 29th and 30th March 2006 at the company's UK headquarters in Weymouth DEK's UK Technology Day will be held in conjunction with selected strategic partners including BTU, Assembleon, Henkel and Nutek

Primarily aimed at helping electronics manufacturers negotiate the challenges of lead-free, the event will focus on the role of leading-edge technologies within this significant industry transition.

Centring on the concept of the "21st Century Line", the Technology Day will feature a blend of presentations and workshop demonstrations, led by some of today's leading industry representatives.

"At DEK, we place a strong emphasis on the importance of Technology Days such as this, identifying them as key customer-facing activities with the potential to benefit the wider industry", explains DEK's George Ritchie.

"The UK Technology Day will enable the DEK team to reach a large market cross section from a single platform, optimising the effectiveness of our response to current market concerns and feedback".

"Furthermore, by teaming up with key strategic partners in this endeavour, we are pooling our complementary industry expertise to deliver customers a more comprehensive knowledge-base".

The lead-free focus of the event will centre on the most pressing issues facing today's manufacturers.

Event content will include discussion of lead-free products, latest generation components, reflow technologies, line flexibility and lead-free developments.

The Technology Day will also highlight key DEK product innovations including Proflow enclosed print head technology, widely recognised as a breakthrough new concept in materials transfer for advanced SMT manufacturing.

In addition, the event will showcase the celebrated Grid-Lok secure dedicated tooling fixture alongside DEK's complete range of lead-free consumables.

In addition to an informative series of presentations, the Technology Day will feature a range of workshops and technical demonstrations led by DEK's Clive Ashmore.

Along with the DEK Applications Team, Ashmore will highlight the importance of traceability as part of lead-free and critical manufacturing environments.

Other demonstrations will be lead by Assembleon, BTU and Nutek.
