DEK has extended its VectorGuard to 29" by 29" - a convenient new frameless foil system that is said to be set to revolutionize large format applications.
Large formats get frameless foil system
DEK has added large foils to its range of VectorGuard stencils, allowing customers to reduce changeover time and ease stencil handling and storage challenges in large image area applications.
Practical benefits include repeatable deposition of precision features such as ultra-thin current collectors, ultimately delivering tangible reductions in cost per watt for solar power.
"Proven dimensional stability and hard-wearing performance are two key demands for screens destined to serve in the alternative energies industry", said Darren Brown, Business Development Manager for DEK's Alternative Energies division.
"By combining superior materials with tight control over the manufacturing environment and processes, we are able to deliver long-lasting screens that give repeatable performance at the finest dimensions to maximise the power and efficiency of PV cells".
The screens are produced in the UK under cleanroom conditions meeting ISO 14644-1 Class 7.
The standard manufacturing time is five days and the facility is equipped to receive customers' files electronically.
DEK's screens service for high-volume customers includes local storage of pre-sensitised screens for rapid dispatch, as well as user-group sessions and technical workshops hosted by DEK and access to laboratory services for process development and optimisation.
