A new range of high-performance interconnects, featuring an integral ground plane to support applications up to 1GHz, has been added by Delton Roxburgh.

A new range of high-performance interconnects, featuring an integral ground plane to support applications up to 1GHz, has been added by Delton Roxburgh following its signing of the Samtec franchise.

The latest Samtec Flexspeed interfaces from Deltron Roxburgh include edge-mount and elevated designs with 16, 19 and 22mm board spacing.

With versions from 40 to 200 I/Os, the new QTE interfaces terminate on 0.8mm pitch and feature an integral ground plane to control impedance at high frequencies.

The result is improved matching as well as better performance with fast signals.

These interconnects are fully tested for 50 and 70ohm systems, and are supported by compliance data including VSWR, attenuation, crosstalk, propagation delay and rise time at frequencies from 10MHz to 1GHz.

An alternative board layout is also provided for designers who wish to improve electrical performance still further, by employing a ground plane embedded in the PCB.

Samtec QTE interfaces can be arranged in up to five banks.

With 2 x 20 pins per bank, giving a space efficient I/O solution with up to 200 ways.

The QTE high-speed headers mate with Samtec QSE range sockets, extending the comprehensive Samtec family available through Deltron Roxburgh.

Existing interfaces include 0.5mm pitch with up to 300 I/Os (QTH/QSH) and 0.635mm pitch with up to 266 I/Os (QTS/QSS and MIS/MIT series).
