Versatile modular shrouded headers, that can be assembled in a huge range of permutations and configurations, have been introduced by Deltron Roxburgh The Samtec 2mm TMMH and 1.27mm FTSH series from Deltron Roxburgh feature a patent-pending system called Flex-Shroud, which allows designers to create exactly the connector they require

Based on a normal pin header with clip-on end-shrouds and surround, these headers are simple to assemble, featuring through hole and right-angle options for the dual-row pins.

Flex-Shroud's design is ideally suited to low profile, blind mating, high vibration and micro pitch alignment/registration applications, especially for quick turnaround, short run production, where it would be too costly and time consuming to use a special mould for each configuration.

As production reaches higher volumes, conventional Samtec moulded shrouds from Deltron Roxburgh provide additional cost efficiencies.

Deltron Roxburgh has added two further Samtec series to provide designers with additional options in shrouded headers.

The TSSH offers a dual-row surface-mount header in 2.54mm pitch, with versions for both horizontal and vertical mounting.

And the 2mm TMMS series features a four-row configuration for high-density interconnect in vertical and right angle designs.

All four families provide positive mating in micro-pitch, ensuring suitability for a variety of high-density and blind mating applications.-.
